In 2016, TGS finished their lighting overhaul of the luxury Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington DC. With hundreds of guest rooms, common areas, event and retail spaces, the facility was in need of a more efficient and economical lighting retrofit solution. TGS provided many different LED lighting types – including tabletop lamps, flood, spotlight, accent and recessed – to fit various areas in the hotel, after assessing each area for desired lumen output and color temperature. The result reduced annual energy consumption for the hotel by 80%, with savings of more than $2,917,605 over a five-year period.
