Elk Grove, California – City-Wide Decorative LED Streetlight Retrofit

In January 2017, TGS completed a transformative city-wide LED retrofit for decorative streetlights in Elk Grove, California. This ambitious project involved upgrading approximately 3,000 post-top lamps across five distinct decorative fixture styles, enhancing both the aesthetics and efficiency of the city’s lighting infrastructure.

As part of the Elk Grove LED Street Light Installation Program, TGS retrofitted over 12,000 high-pressure sodium streetlights throughout the city to energy-efficient LEDs. This upgrade delivered significant benefits, including improved illumination, reduced maintenance needs, and enhanced nighttime visibility for pedestrians and drivers. The project is projected to save Elk Grove more than $400,000 annually in energy and operational costs.

TGS’s expertise in large-scale municipal lighting projects ensured a seamless transition to LED technology, reinforcing the city’s commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. By combining functionality with decorative appeal, TGS delivered a high-quality lighting solution that benefits the community while supporting long-term cost savings and environmental goals.
